Over and over again throughout Scripture, we are reminded that athletics really is a great analogy for life – and the apostle Paul agrees wholeheartedly.  He likens the Christian life to a race that must be run, or a boxing match that must be fought.  He talks about the lifestyle of the athlete, and the sacrifices it entails.  This shapes the lense through which I see myself – and the lense through which I coach.
